Julie Fader is a 30 year teacher, an educational, parenting consultant and mindfulness instructor with a strong focus on neurobiological research. As a young child, Julie experienced significant learning difficulties which ultimately lead to a catastrophic panic and anxiety disorder as a young teen. These experiences created a very strong drive in Julie to learn everything she could about the brain, mindfulness and self regulation processes supporting learning through science and information. Julie is passionately committed to supporting students, parents, teachers and professionals to live their best, most purposeful lives and honouring their innate greatness. Through coaching, consulting and speaking Julie is thrilled to assist parents and educators working with our beautiful kids!
In 2008, together with her founding partner and sister Heather Colomba, Julie created Head of the Class Education Centre, a labour of love and a dream of many years in the making. As the sole proprietor/director Julie has continued to expand on the original ideals of creating a safe supportive space that honours the whole learner in person and on line. Head of the Class Education Centre has become an award-winning Tutoring and Learning Support Centre. Julie is also the author of workshops discussing ADHD, Mindfulness and Social Emotional Learning.
During the last 12 years of working daily with students, teachers and parents and professionals, Julie has developed best practice approaches for creating connection, managing stress, getting to the heart of learning issues and supporting greatness in the home and in classroom.
Most of all Julie is a proud Mama to her beautiful son, Dane.
